Despite the tricks and seemingly complicated plots, you can guess who will win the final battle since the first volume.

The last epilogue could be a hit or miss. I let each reader to decide whether the epilogue is good or not.

Overall I think this series should have been 2-3 volumes shorter. If you trim out some of the stuff that happens later in the series *cough* alien insane asylum* cough, I think it'd be a more streamlined story. It's still a worthwhile story, and the ending is clever enough without getting caught up trying to trick or surprise you.

While Incorruptible pulled ahead for a while as the better story, Irredeemable came back in the end. Loved the ending. Sentimental, but in a cool, inventive way.

I wasn't going to read this volume until I saw on the back cover it was the end of the series and it turns out this was the best of the series, I'd give it a 3.5 if Goodreads had half stars if it had half stars. I really liked the "coda" after the end of the main story. The side plot involving the tree of life didn't feel as dire as it was intended to be but I thought the final chance at redemption for the Plutonian wrapped this story up nicely.
