I 100% thought I was going to DNF this, lol. I didn't like any of the characters, found quite a few scenes cringy and just.....wasn't happy reading it.
And then something changed and I couldn't put this book down, ended up liking the characters (though not Jules. Never her), and sobbing on the couch one point. Did I see the twist coming? Yeah, but it's one of my favorite romance trope twists, soooo......So, I'm giving this a four star.
Also, Ana Huang does good grovel.

Storyline didn’t hold my attention and smut was too intense for how the fmc was written imo.

My hopes were high which could’ve been my own fault could’ve been booktoks…
It wasn’t what I was expecting at all, don’t get me wrong they were very cute together but I didn’t realise how drawn out the storyline was like over years we’re talking, but somehow there was nothing leading up to their love story.
I hated that, one minute they hated each other next minute they were having sex? All within like 100 pages and there was nothing to show the lead up to how they fell in love.. felt very rushed and overhyped if I’m honest.
If I had of read this book without all the hype going into it I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed it more but my expectations failed me lol
