This was such an intense mafia romance. I love how strong Bianca was, even when she was put in what seemed like an impossible position. She is kind, and smart, and loyal. So when she makes a huge sacrifice, and alters her future, she doesn’t have any idea what to think of her new role.
This was full of passion, and carnage, and lust. There was plenty of angst, and secrets, but the lust, and passion and love was great!
A great dark age gap romance.
Aiden Snow always brings a whole extra level to any audiobook, and Desire Ketchum did a fantastic job bringing out all the emotions and really bringing Bianca to life.

Man I had high hopes for this book. The beginning was freaking strong. I loved that Bianca was willing to sacrifice herself to save her sister. She seemed so badass and I had high hopes for her. Freaking Vincent and his steamy eyes and protective ways had me pining for him from the get go. He was broody and possessive and everything I love in a fictional man.

Unfortunately it all went down hill from there. I hate instalust. Bianca is in a forced marriage and from the get go gives so much of herself to Vincent that she get instantly humiliated by him. She was dripping for him for no good reason.

The spicy scene were pretty great I must admit. But they got slightly repetitive.

The plot felt super strange. It almost felt like the plot focused around Gabriella more than it did Bianca. Bianca was just the side character. The young innocent virgin who is making dumb mistakes all over the place. Freaking Vincent had way more patience than I would with her whiny ass. I wanted to throttle her a couple time for being an idiot.

Also Bianca turned out to have absolutely zero personality or backbone. She was either horny or feeling bad for herself. There was no fire to her. She would start to stand up to Vincent and then just roll over and play dead the minute his dick came out. I don't know. It just didn't really hit the spot.

The smut just wasn’t for me, I’m not into degradation kinks and the FMC being 18 and a virgin was a bit too focused on, IMO. There also seemed to be some continuity errors when it came to following jumps in time and logic that just got tedious.

Clearly, I've been on a mafia kick this month and this is just another example of why I love mafia books so much. There are no words to describe the chemistry and tension between these two. Damn. I'm looking at a glass of whiskey in a completely different way now.
