absolutely adorable

After reading dungeons and drama I decided to keep reading more works by Kristy Boyce. I just love the characters she creates and she once again did not disappoint. The one starts with a bang! I had a hard time keeping interested in the middle but that was mostly just me keeping interested in a ya romance where I’m use to an adult romance book but once I got past the middle I really enjoyed the rest of the book. I loved the banter between Ellie and Dev and the friendships that bloomed along the way.

This was our newest book for book club. I stayed up way too late reading it in one sitting. It was predictable but enjoyable.

This is such a sweet story! After a (very public) embarrassing moment, Ellie defects to England to study abroad for a semester and put the incident behind her. She befriends a lovely group there - Sage, Dev and Huan, and on one of their first outings in Northampton meets Will, the titular hot British boyfriend.

Over the course of the semester, as Ellie gets to know herself, Will and her friends better, she realizes maybe this whirlwind romance isn't as it seems.

I loved the character development that Ellie experiences over these few months, it's incredible relatable as high school students seek to define themselves by those around them, and struggle with their sense of self. A heartwarming read with good role models.

Could not stand the mc

This was like reading a really fun, cliché, cheesy teen movie and I had a blast. This was such a comforting book to read, because you go in with certain expectations and all of them are met and played out in the ways that you expect. A great read if your in the mood for a ya romance.
