This was a cute, easy read but I couldn’t get past the insta love. I don’t know how it’s possible to fall in love with a stranger over the course of two or three separate days. And not only that but remain in love for seven years waiting for them?! I think about who I was seven years ago and I can’t imagine that after even a year I would still be pining over someone I met and hadn’t seen since. Besides that, the magic part of it was cute and didn’t overcomplicate the story. I found Clementine’s insistence that she knew James/Iwan better than he knew himself in the present pretty annoying but at least she had a realization that *gasp* people can change! That whole internal plotline felt a bit juvenile for someone as intelligent and accomplished as she is but at least she got there in the end. Overall this was a fluffy lighthearted romance (with the exception of some discussions of grief) and an enjoyable beach read!

If I had a nickel for every time I read a book this year with a FMC named Clementine, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right???

I think this is my new favorite book? It has funny and sad parts. I love the characters. When I first read the summary, I was a little iffy because I wasn’t sure about the whole seven years difference & how that would work out, but I really like how Ashley Poston handled it. I haven’t read her previous book yet, but I definitely will now!

Ashley Poston has quickly become one of my new favorite authors. She writes about believable flawes characters whom you cannot help but to love.

This book is sweet and tragic and you can just feel the love Clementine feels for her aunt bleed through the pages.

I have no idea why so many people have this 5⭐️…

Don’t get me wrong it was good, but not amazing so I’m confused. One thing that definitely brought down the rating was that there wasn’t a real problem. Towards the middle I found myself throwing up my hands and saying “Get over yourself and get together!”

Also the writing didn’t feel like anything special. Also the romance was poorly done. And I found her friends sooooo annoying at some points.

Overall, this book was just really annoying. But not bad enough to deserve a 2⭐️ or less. There were some parts that I really liked. Particularly the past scenes. All of the present ones were the problem lmao.
