I actually really enjoyed reading this book. When i started this out i didnt know what to expect with this time capsule plot line and how exactly it would work in a romance book, but as i raed more i started to enjoy it. though the time capsule was at first a bit confusing to understand like i was just trying to make sure i got it right w the timeline of clementine and iwan and with vera and analea.
I loved how even though this story is a romance novel it still didnt just primarily focus on the romance and actually took time developing the main characters as individuals with their own struggles.
clementine the fmc, shes gen everything to me i related to her sm i was actually holding back tears.  the way she just dealt with the grief of losing someone close to you specially when that someone is family, the drawbacks and how she just closed on herself and didnt allow herself to feel the pain and grieve her aunt bcuz that would then mean that she’s actually gone and she couldn’t do anything to prevent it. Like i genuinely just wanted to hug her and cry with her. Her being afraid of change and when she was slapped in the face with the loss of an important person, her aunt, when she was used to having her with her all the time she was used to her apartment her laugh her smile she never thought the the day were she would just wake up to never hearing her voice again and how badly it would affect her. I really liked her character she was very well written i loved her sm.
With iwan we didnt get much of his character but with what he got I enjoyed his character i liked how he was so passionate about his career how he truly saw sm beauty in his work and how he wanted to accomplish it and how he wanted to get there. The way he talked about being a chef and how much making food was so important to him specially since it was something he enjoyed doing with his grandpa; He was trying to be the perfect chef and be who his grandpa wanted, the dreams he never got to fulfill.
Iwan and clementine relationship was sooo cutttee though i wouldnt say its my fav its still very cute. Their first meeting at the apartment was cute ash i was giggling hard like wow okay maybe i am invested. And also let me say that I KNEW that guy she collided with was him like it was so obviously set up so i wouldnt say im smart for seeing it early but i knew it. Their current time was PISSINF ME OFF and not in a bad way i was just annoyed LIKE U GUYS CAN U JUST STOP ANS TALK PLS talking in puzzles bcuz iwan already knows what happened bcuz it was his past BUT SHE was still living it bcuz it was her present time I AM NOT BUILT FOR THIISSS like idk how tf iwan handled this but hes crazy wdym u had the time of your life with this girl that is the love of your life but U COULDNT DO ANYTHING ABT IT BCUZ SHE WAS 7 YRS FROM THE FUTURE WHAT. Like thats crazy theyre cute but thats crazy. Their endinf was so heartwarming i was so happy for them specially clementine she deserved this sm.
Anyways they were really cute and i had fun reading this very good book everyone need to read it clementine is the fmc of all romance novels my baby istg.

This book felt like a warm hug.
Such a comfort read even though the story does have a sad side to it.

And like the apartment giving the magic when you need it most; this book I feel came into my life when I needed it.

Showing you that only living once has meaning to everyone in a different way. And how people change but also stay the same even after time has passed.

2.5

Not for me. This is very much like In Five Years by Rebecca Serle except I liked Rebecca’s book better.

Ughh I wanted to love this BAD. I loved parts of it and I think her writing had beautiful moments with so much potential. I loved Iwan and I think every second with him was tender and giving. The subplot about work and her friends was lackluster to me. They didn’t have much personality and I hated that she acted like the first time she had a lovely dinner with friends was with Iwans friends. You’re telling me you don’t have a full heart and a full belly after an evening with your closest friends ???  Also wdym “off limits” not very off limits when you find each other in the right timeline. I don’t regret reading it, but I was disappointed with big chunks of it and wowed by other chunks
