This book was mix of 100 Bullets, Deadly Class and Copra. The writing and art worked well together. Assassin Nation reads like well made comfort food. It’s nothing fancy, but it hits the spot.

A perfect balance of humor and violence. Fun as hell.

All the assassins in this book have a gimmick. Or a trait that sets them apart.

If I were an assassin, what would mine be?

Whoa, I bet you thought I was going to say, "I'd be called Second Shooter, and I'd get away with all my assassinations while some patsy took the fall. And I'd always slip a copy of Catcher in the Rye on him. So maybe I'd be called Shooter in the Rye."

I bet you thought you were going to trick me into saying something like that, then blammo, on go the cuffs.

I suppose you can tell at this point that I've never been handcuffed because "blammo" is not remotely the sound handcuffs make.

I've never been handcuffed because IF I ever did anything, I've never been caught.

Este cómic tiene secuencias realmente brillantes: los asesinatos se muestran con crudeza y al mismo tiempo con un humor muy negro. La guinda es una escala cromática a lo Bellaire que lo realza.

While I felt the twist to the book was telegraphed early on, and I didn't really care / get a feel for a majority of the characters introduced, Assassin Nation is a pretty fun murder non-mystery. Who is trying to kill the former #1 assassin in the world? The answer won't surprise you! But the ridiculousness of the violence is enhanced by [a:Erica Henderson|375348|Erica Henderson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1449194223p2/375348.jpg]'s perfectly cartoonish art.

I recommend this for fans of [b:100 Bullets, Vol. 1: First Shot, Last Call|94510|100 Bullets, Vol. 1 First Shot, Last Call|Brian Azzarello|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1327888942l/94510._SY75_.jpg|2647240], [b:Die!Die!Die!, Vol. 1|43999494|Die!Die!Die!, Vol. 1|Robert Kirkman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1556909117l/43999494._SY75_.jpg|68403161], [b:VIRGIL|24309968|VIRGIL|Steve Orlando|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1420486600l/24309968._SY75_.jpg|43889058], and anyone looking for a book about thieves or assassins trying to undermine each other.
