This book is a hard read. It's really nihilistic and frustrating. I'll say more about it when I eventually re-read it.

A really interesting read, but much darker than expected.

Honestly not sure what to say about this one. I was definitely intrigued by it. The ending felt a bit off for the rest of the story (I mean, I guess we did see it coming but still)

not much happens in this book tbh. it kinda feels like reading a drunk person's account of a fever dream. the narrator is unhinged. luckily, i have a soft spot for unhinged woman.

Genuinely one of the best books I've ever read. It's a red flag book, for sure. and if you don't like books with unlikable or unreliable narrators, or books without plot, this one isn't for you. But I found that Moshfegh's prose was gripping from start to finish.
