I loved this book. I love this book. It has become so dear to my heart. Queer characters that feel real and messy and just make you want to root for them. Beautiful explorations of a multitude of cultures, and critique of Christinianity while also showing why some still find solace in it. And the horror, the imagery, the sensuality and intimacy—it’s been a long time since a book brought me to the edge of tears. Even longer since I rooted for a romance—felt the yearning and the passion and anticipation.
I can’t wait to read the next book, and the rest of this auhor’s work!
