Thanks to the author, publisher and netgally for the honour of reading the ARC.
This book was engaging, tricky to stop reading.
Had a hint of beauty and the beast however it stood it's own ground as a story which I liked.
Loved the fantasy elements.
Trigger warning to those who don't venture to spicey reads.
When reading the epilogue, it gave me smiles and laughs.
Well written and the descriptive language was done in a good way, so it didn't take away from the story and understanding it.
I recommend to other readers.
Thanks again to the author, netgally and publisher it was an honour to read the ARC.

The first eight chapters were a bit rough to get through, but once Wren was in the same space as The Frost King, the story became much better. The first eight chapters kept repeating the same descriptions for Wren (that she sees herself as unattractive and that she has a scar) to the point where it was annoying. It made no sense that Wren's TWIN sister was more beautiful than Wren herself. I get that this is a story, but it was a bit much. Especially with Wren trying to protect her sister from the bad of the world. Again, they're TWINS. The same age. There's no way her sister isn't able to see that everyone is struggling. A "hard" older sister only works when there's a big age difference between the older and younger sister.
I really enjoyed Wren and Boreas' relationship. They knew exactly how to press each other's buttons and it was lovely to experience them falling in love.
Peek the wrong word choice at the bottom of page 302 lol. It should be "breaths."
Wasn't a big fan of the ending, though the epilogue was cute. I feel like Boreas could have kept his powers, even with the theme of him being all about power and nothing else. I get that he chose love over power, but she could have just "thawed" him instead, like she was doing the entire book.
Also, boo to a pregnancy ending. Feels like it caves toward Boreas' wishes instead of Wren's.

TLDR:
If you love emotionally mature characters, banter that is not obnoxious, a great love story combined with anxiety inducing adventures, you can't miss with this ❤️
Loved this book so much! Such a breath of fresh air seeing a mature FMC who is not stubborn just for the sake of the "powerful independent woman" trend that all author are recently adopting, in which the FMCs are entitles brats who literally couldn't give a shit about other peoples feelings and being all book like "me,me,me".
I loved Wren, i loved how she always take into account other peoples perspectives, feelings, is not afraid to grow as a person, all the while being a badass girl in protecting all those around.
I will shout it from the rooftops: I LOVE TO SEE EMOTIONALLY MATURE WOMEN, EMAPATHIC AND NOT SELFISH WOMEN WHO ACTUALLY VALUE GOOD MEN IN LIFE. I relate to her a lot.
Also, the love story is pure chefs kiss, i cried, i laughed, i kicked my feet, i was anxious. Rarely do i experience a book that makes me exteriorise feelings!
(As you can see on my profile, i don't write reviews. But i make an exception on incredible books that know how to tell a story and connect to the reader).
In my top 5 for sure❤️
