A very well-done enemies to lovers, with an interesting twist on Greek mythology. Very entertaining, and I appreciate that
1. The heroine is not the typical girl with a sword trope, despite being a fighter and a provider. She’s crass, an alcoholic, insecure and angry, but at the same time she’s deeply kind and magnanimous.
2. The enemies were very much enemies and the romance was very much slow burn.

I really slogged through this one. The characters felt flat and the dialogue was stilted. I did finish it but I’m not sure I’ll continue with the series.

I love retellings and this was a really good read.
Boreas came across as on the spectrum which I really enjoyed. It was something you don‘t really read every day. Wren is head strong, not really your normal type of girl. Her substance abuse and overcoming it, well done.
I also liked that both characters had this development throughout the whole book, together. The banter, the wit, the sass, the spice. Oh and I really liked the epilogue.

This book is so boring. And also just not good. There are multiple scenes in this book that are taken straight from other books that are beauty and the beast or hades and persephone retellings. Also! Why do both? In one book? It’s too much.
World building doesn’t exist, so many unanswered questions, the girl is a moron, the man needs a therapist. Get this book out of my sight.
