Wonderful story about a very special friendship, which shows that through love all is possible.

I enjoyed this sequel to "Street Cat Bob". It continues James's story with Bob and how the success of the first book changed his life.

A heartwarming tale about two mates, who found the best of friendships in this world.

More adventures of James and Bob ... interesting, amusing, and a must read if you liked the first Bob adventure.

I found this book at a free book swapping station and couldn't resist it, though the cynic in me was sure I would not enjoy this book. But I did. I did very much.

Bowen is surprisingly honest and forthcoming about his own shortcomings, murky history and the reality of life on the streets and Bob is absolutely charming. For those needing to point out that Bowen didn't write the whole book himself there is really no need, as Bowen already does that in the book. Several chapters are devoted to how the book came into being, including the work with ghost writer Gary Jenkins.

The combination of at times rather tragic stories balanced out by Bob's support or downright mischief makes for delightful and captivating reading. This was my first of the (thankfully) many books about James and Bob. I am now hooked and will at once go on in search of the others. If you are feeling low and about ready to knock the hats off of people, don't go out to sea or steal a boat. Read this instead. You'll soon feel a lot better about life.

After reading and loving A Street Cat Named Bob, I was desperate to know and find out more about Bob and James’ journey.

James’ first book opened my eyes to so many things in the last book. Whilst the start of The World According to Bob carries on with James and Bob taking to the streets of London selling The Big Issue, I think because James goes into more detail of day to day life for him and Bob it took slightly longer to grab me like the first one, but when it did all those emotions that I felt in the first book came rushing back.

The World According to Bob gives us a bit more insight into working on the streets and the sometimes perils that can happen. James also tells us of how the first book came about which totally fascinated me. It’s a bit like meeting up with an old friend and them filling you in on whats been happening to them.

This is a book that made me laugh out loud at some of Bob’s antics as well as smiling. It also made feel sad and angry at the injustice of some peoples actions. It gives readers hope and I know I for one am a sucker for a happy ending, especially when it’s in real life. Getting to the end of the novel had me in tears, mainly because I was just so happy for James and Bob but also because I had reached the end and I didn’t want it to. This is truly a wonderful look at an amazing friendship and how it can turn their lives around. Inspirational and moving!

More stories about James' life on the street, his struggles with addiction and authority and his ginger furry friend Bob. Makes you wonder how difficult it is for some to make it in our society.

This book gave me such an insight into those that sell the Big Issue. It was so interesting to see how cats which are usually very independent be so loving and close to James. Very well written.
