4 stars. 2019 is the year of all of the re-reads for me apparently. I haven't read this book since I was in the fourth grade but I remember loving it then and I'm glad that I still do. The illustrations are fun and quirky and I really love Charlie. Such a great kid and Grandpa Joe is awesome too. Willy Wonka is a borderline sociopath but he's such an iconic character. This is a really fun and quick read and it made me all nostalgic and happy.
