I am struggling between 3.5 or 4 stars…although this book had the same bits of juicy goodness that kept me reaching for more...I found some of the plot to be repetitive and overused. The bullying is still active; not only is it getting a tad old at this point. But, some of the tactics seem to be recycled, which just wasn't working for me and it definitely lost its original weight of surprise. I found myself rolling my eyes a bit at the Boys' natures.

There were also a few moments in this book that seemed like unnecessary filler, because it left much to be desired. There would be some character POV's that felt like an unfinished paragraph. It would start a little path that led to nowhere. But, it spiked my curiosity and I wanted to walk down a path that didn't exist. Which, made me huff a bit with annoyance. I was a little let down with the lack of the Twins' progress. I kept waiting for a "Carrie" moment to occur, which spoiler, it didn't happen.

I guess all in all I feel that this book stood out to me as the weakest so far. I felt that the progression was kind of an erratic line, going every which way and at times even backtracking. There were parts in this story that were rolling out slowly and entertaining me, while others rushed by too quickly. I also would have liked to see more from the girls, I feel that it's time in the story that the lines started defining a bit more. I got one of my answers, that I desperately needed, which felt nice to have that pay off with how I have read these books back to back. The Reckoning was a tad too clunky that I will end up taking a slight pause in my ZA reading. But, I am committed to seeing this series through and will pick it up again after a beat.
