This took me so long to read and I thought it was a lot longer than it needed to be. I also predicted the plot, but it was entertaining and has a lot of potential to be really really great - I just wish the pace was faster!

This book had almost everything I enjoy in a romantic fantasy. Dire Bound was filled with tension, action, twist and turns every way you go and had me hooked from the beginning.
In the storyline, the tempo is perfect in my opinion. You are never too long without action or food for thought, which made sure my attention was grabbed constantly. The magic system was pretty easy to understand and I loved the setting.
It was very close to a 5 star with a 4.75 star ratingš¤©
I canāt wait for book 2 and to see where the story is headed.

Yes,this had every conceivable trips from the romantasy genre, but do you know what? I really enjoyed it! Direwolves, the undead, trials, a spunky FMC, a couple of great MMCs, a bit of spice, and an ending setting us up perfectly for the next book. Good fun and a fast paced read!
