Ma’am! How you gonna do us like that?! You came out with a sucker punch followed up by a round house kick straight to the gut with that ending. I mean I am here for it but damn can a girl get a slight warning LOL… Esmeray, this girl right here is strong. She has been taking care and looking after herself for a very long time and then she meets Reed, Zeno, Kai, Krew and Stone and the instant pull they have is undeniable. Not everyone is so willing to except her as their alpha or the bond that is starting to develop even though the tension bleeds through the pages. Esme is such an amazing FMC and she walks to the beat of her own drum and I freaking love it. The spicy scenes will leave you fanning yourself and panting for more. This is just the first book in the series and I am already hooked I need book 2 like yesterday especially with that epic cliffy that was a punch straight to the soul.

Whoa this book, the ending punched me right in the gut.
This is the first book in a new series by Rune Hunt.
Esmeray is an orphan who has been looking after herself since her father died when she was 13. One day a pack of wolf shifters come into her town looking for their alpha but are surprised when they find it to be Esme. Stone, Krew, Kai, Zeno and Reed. They all belong to the same pack and all feel the pull to Esme. This book is about introducing Esme to the shifter world, where the guys take her to their academy. There's so much tension and build up between this group. Some accepting this pull and some full on fighting it. Did I mention this is reverse harem. The scenes are spicy and the dynamic between them all is great. Esme is finding her own while being hunted by another pack. We don't know why this pack want her. Are they the true enemies? I don't know yet. This book ends on a cliffhanger. Worth a read if you like shifter romances and reverse harems, because why should we have to choose just one mate?

This was so much more emotional reading it the second time. But still really good, better even. I still wish we would have gotten more information on what she is or why she’s having trouble shifting. And why the wolves go to a school. I like that Rune’a wolves are different but I want to know why or more details on how and why. Esme is by far one of my favorite type of FMC don’t ask me why the “shut down and bottle it up” type is one of my favs but it is. The guys are all really different but ugh Reed made my stomach hurt. I hope some of my questions are answered in book 2.

I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this book. I don’t even think I read the synopsis, I just went for it and it was so good. I think this is a good group and I loved seeing their feelings to the new changes and how to handle everything. The ending was a little rude and now I need more. I definitely recommend if you need a quick shifter reverse harem!!
