Inhaled this book in basically one sitting - so fun, and with some real emotions too. The closeness between the two couples was sweet, if a little too perfect. Similarly, I felt like the grandfather character could've had more quirks or idiosyncrasies so he didn't feel like a plot device. But this was a great clean pregnancy romance with a happy ending, easy to read and enjoy.

I was really bummed out by this book but I should've known better. I read The Off-Limits Rule last week and I enjoyed it. It wasn't 5 stars but it was enjoyable. My biggest complaint was the brother of the main character but I was hoping that he would redeem himself in his own book. The crazy part is, HE DID. I really loved Drew's character in the second half of this book. He was so sure of what he wanted and so confident in him and Jessy that I really did change my opinon of him. The rest of this book though was hard to read. At the start both characters are so immature with one another. I don't mind reading books where the MCs prank each other, that can be really funny. This was just annoying and some of the pranks were just malicious. Once we get to the second half of the book Jessy's comitment issues, which were incredibly valid, were frustrating. There was so much empty space in the book of Jessy wanting Drew but not being able to say it. Once the characters got together Jessy became more bareable. I almost wish it wasn't a slow burn and the conflict could've been elsewhere. My other complaint was that Lucy, from the first book, became this weird ditzy character that she was not in her own book. Overall I gave this a 2.5 stars, rounded down to 2. It is also closed door romance. I think you can read The Off-Limits Rule and not read this one and really not think twice about it.
