Okay, I loved this book! I just read Kingdom of the Wicked the other day and picked this up off my bookshelf while I am waiting for the other two books to become available on Libby… only to realize that this book was written by the same author and actually is in the same world as Kingdom of the Wicked! I was completely surprised, so that was so fun to realize. It did technically kind of spoil something from the Kingdom of the Wicked series, but I wasn’t upset because they were two things I sort of predicted or had an inkling that those were probably things that were going to happen. So if you plan to read Kingdom of the Wicked, I would probably read the whole trilogy first. But it was so fun to hear about other characters and to be further drawn into this world! I love that that was written like a standalone but there are more to come with other characters mentioned. So fun!

3.5⭐️ I have a lot of thoughts on this book but will keep it short. The first half was a 5 star for me. I was addicted. Then when we got more into the “game” the story really lost me. I just did not care about the game and I feel like the clues and the game it self could have been so much more fun. Honestly by the end I didn’t end up loving the relationship. I did end up living this more than the kingdom of the wicked trilogy (I think) and will be reading the next book that comes out.
