This was so good and so unexpected. The cat and mouse game was not only exciting but left me on the edge of my seat and biting my nails.

This novella was wild! I ate this up in about 1.5 hours. I would have liked to know more about Cara, I felt like I really didn’t know her. But I really enjoyed this one. I love Halloween so any Halloween dark romance is perfect for me
Spicy, sick and twisted… just how I like em. Could do without the cliff hanger but for a lil’ quickie read (and wondering if I’ll ever be able to look at corn cobs without a smirk) totally worth it.

Overall I enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the plot and wanted to know what happens next.
However, I didn't think it was the best writing ever. Some of the dialogue just didn't come across as how people actually talk. For example at one point the FMC and her friend go to get pumpkin Spice Latte's at a coffee shop. The author choose to say things like " sipping our PSL's" like 4 times. I get that it's a Halloween/ Fall story but I don't need to be reminded what they are drinking over and over.
That being said I wanted to know more about the characters. What happened to Rhett's father and how did he end up as a hacker in the CIA chasing the mob? Is Rhett crazy? Yes. Did I care? No. I am a sucker for an obsessive stalker who takes one look at a girl and says "mine". I am messed up, what can I say. I also liked Cara and wanted to know more about her.
The plot and the smut is messed up but whatever, it's a fantasy. However all I could think during the corn maze is UTI. If you know you know.
All in all this is a quick dark Halloween smutty read that gives you what you expect.

This was way better than I expected. I thought it was a decent premise for a stalker and the execution was actually pretty good. We got to know a little about the characters and see their personalities before diving into the unhinged madness. Little crazy with the killing but it’s supposed to be romantic, right?
Overall, didn’t absolutely love it, didn’t dislike it and definitely moving on to the second book because now I’m invested!

Very dark, please check your trigger warnings. I wish I did, just to prepare myself. The MMC is definitely 100% a psycho. Would have given it a higher rating if they had included the bonus chapter in the book itself. I'm not sure why it's a trend now for authors to have a "bonus chapter" that's only available at XYZ but it only turns readers off if we have to hunt for it. Also, a bit weird that both the FMC and MMC named their vehicles. I thought it would be an FMC thing but then the MMC also had a name for his. Is this a normal thing for westerns to name their vehicles because it's not normal at all in Asia. Not a bad thing, just something I found weird.
This was not a great book, but it’s got all the pumpkin “spice” and it’s a quick read
