This has got to be one of my favorites. It had the perfect ending. Although Candide suffered his whole life, he had his happy ending. It wasn't the happiest ending he could have had, but it was pretty good. That's all life is, alright. It can't be perfect. You can only hope for it to be alright.

My wife said when I picked up this book to read "I didn't like it, it's just a bunch of bad stuff happening to stupid people." All of these other 5 page reviews pale in comparison to my wife's review. Especially dumbass Lisa's review comparing it to 1984. Lisa doing the goodread equivalent of the famous Boss Baby tweet. And then fuckin Lisa starts talking about student debt? Bro fuck Lisa. my homies hate Lisa.
