This was a reread for me and I enjoyed it as much this time around as before.
There were bits of the book I have forgotten and it was nice to read bits I had forgotten.
The characters engaged me. You cared what happened to them.
I would recommend this book and the series.

The Three Sisters Island trilogy has been on my TBR for many years ever since I read the first book 'Dance Upon the Air' more than 20 years ago. Dance Upon the Air was also my first and only introduction to Nora Roberts.
The backdrop of the Three Sisters Island, the story of the three witches, Air, Earth and Fire who create the island to escape persecution during the Salem Witch trials and the curse/prophecy that connects the fate of the descendants of those witches to the fate of the island interested me enough to want to know how it all concludes.
It's been a long wait but I finally read/listened to the entire trilogy this month. With a good plot, sexy and good looking characters producing a healthy dose of steam and ample description of the magic rituals, this trilogy was fun and exciting to read. I simultaneously listened to and read the books and although Sandra Burr's narration was pleasing, I didn't enjoy her vocals for the male characters.
'Face The Fire' is my favourite of the series.

A 3.5 would be ideal, while I enjoy Nora Roberts and love her trilogies, the end became too predictable. I like Mia and Sam’s relationship (the best one) but the story was just too similar to the others.
