I really enjoyed this very Flowers-In-the-Attic-adjacent book until the end. They totally dropped the ball in the last eighth of the book—what happened? There’s a reason FITA is generally so beloved and this one is…not.

This wasn't bad. It started out well but quickly became predictable. The twists were less twists and more obvious than anything else. The incestuous relationship at one part was 🤢 and thus made a good chunk of this book less bearable. Nothing was too overt but it was blatant enough to turn your stomach. That being said, the plot moved along well. Not sure I'd jump to recommend this but it was okay.
