Fun light fluff read. A perfect book for a rare lazy Saturday morning.

Nina has everything planned out for her, her job, her boyfriend, and a future where she takes over her father's company. Little does she know that sometimes plans have a way of changing. When Nina's father passes away, she needs to come to terms with his death and with the secrets he left behind. She begins to realize that not everything is what it seems and that sometimes what you see on the outside is hiding the truth on the inside. Nina starts to see things in a different perspective and she starts to rethink who she is and what she wants.
This is a great book about love and loss. It tackles grief, romance, relationships, and self worth. It makes you smile and cry. You will find yourself tearing up and also feeling a sense of calmness. It is a lovely romantic book about a woman who finally figures out what it is to be herself.

the synopsis of this is so dramatic the book itself is underwhelming if this was just marketed as what it is a simple romance then i would have liked it more

Starting out with this one, I wasn’t quite sure about this one. You follow Nina who struggles with the realisation that all was not what she thought with her beloved dad, and how he shaped her into a person that’s not really her true self.

But this one slowly pulled me in as she begins to unravel those family secrets, find her real self, and realise how her real self fits in with the life she’s chosen. Whilst there’s some sexy time in here, it’s ultimately as journey into grief over the loss of a loved one, and another great story by Santopolo, who’s great on narration duty.

It didn't take me long to finish this book. Mainly because the pace of the book was great, the language was easy, the plot wasn't complicated, and the overall feel of the book felt like a friend was talking to you. I would describe this book as more character driven than plot.

This is the kind of book one would read on holiday or during short breaks or time off. It's not a book I will find myself returning to over and over again, because as good as it was, I felt it touched only the tip of many 'iceberg' topics that could have been delved into deeper.

But again, this was an amazing book to get me back to reading regularly again. It didn't even take me a whole 24 hours to read this.

I would recommend this book to others. For sure.

Nina, the main character, drove me crazy. Pampered spoiled brat. She was so disappointed in others behavior, but didn't do much work on herself. She should sell the company too. She obviously didn't care about it or she would have been at her Dad's side learning the ropes.

I devoured this book in one day- I felt so incredibly connected to Nina’s character and some aspects of her life. I thoroughly loved seeing how her story played out and only wish it had been longer.

This book was overall, just okay. It held my interest and it was a quick read. But for whatever reason, I thought for sure, the climax of the book was going to involve her mom not really being dead so the happy ending was really just a disappointment.
