A really magical (Hehehehe...Puns :P) book that might scream "HARRY POTTER" at first glance, but if you pay attention you will find out this book merely took some successful concepts from HP and morphed it into its own book (Much like I hope Overwatch will do with TF2)

Esperaba encontrar muchas similitudes con Harry Potter, pero no fueron tantas....tenemos un niño, mago, que sobrevivió; un trío de amigos, escuela de magia....pero después de lo obvio la historia en si cambia bastante y para bien.
Tenemos como protagonista a Callum Hunt, un niño mago cuya madre murió en una masacre en la cual él sobrevivió, a causa de eso es criado por su padre con la idea de que la magia es peligrosa, Call hará todo lo posible por reprobar el examen de ingreso a Magisterium, la escuela de magia, pero logrará exactamente lo opuesto, al final debe ir a la escuela donde descubrirá muchos secretos que lo involucran bastante.
Debo admitir que la primera mitad del libro fue bastante aburrida y muy lenta; toda la parte de la presentación de personajes, la descripción del sistema de magia, y la historia del enemigo fue aunque muy necesaria bastante tediosa de leer....Pero en la segunda parte todo mejoró, la acción aumentó y los giros de trama estuvieron muy bien desarrollados.
No pensaba continuar con la saga, pero después de leer la segunda mitad del libro y terminar con ese final, creo que le daré una oportunidad al siguiente libro.

"Magisterium - Der Weg ins Labyrinth" ist ein Serienauftakt, der definitiv Lust auf mehr macht. Obwohl sich gewisse Ähnlichkeiten zu J. K. Rowlings Zauberwelt nicht leugnen lassen, sind dieses Buch und seine Ideen anders und frisch genug um interessant zu sein. Die Handlung ist spannend, die Lage der Schule sehr kreativ und die Charaktere meist liebenswert.
Ich empfehle dieses Buch Jugendlichen ab 10 Jahren und bin schon gespannt, wie es mit Call und seinen Freunden weitergeht.

OK, so people told me "yeah at first it's like HP, but then WoW PLOT TWIST!" not. It's the same one as in HP except the plot twist happens in the first book and not the last one.
I like it because the new generation and anyone who hasn't read HP, will really enjoy it but I couldn't stop comparing everything with HP.
all in all it's a good book and I hope the next ones, there are five, diverge from that HP line and bring in new things.

I did not think I was going to enjoy this one. It had too much Harry Potter for my liking; I read it after reading [b:Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow|36260006|Wundersmith The Calling of Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor, #2)|Jessica Townsend|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1534386703s/36260006.jpg|57912592] (which features superb characters and world building); and I was being a hater. Until the chaos elements appeared. Then I was hooked. I even purchased the second book in the series. Let's see what awaits.
Very good storyline. It reminds me a bit of Harry Potter, a similar premise with a wonderfully dark twist. I am so excited to see where this story goes!
I haven´t read such a good first book since "The Philosopher Stone" and "The lightning Thief"
