I made the mistake of starting this book right before finals, so it took me forever to finish. But I really enjoyed it and I'm really glad that I re-read this before I continued on with the series.
I loved Callum as a main character, he's super funny and you can't help but root for him. I forgot how much I love the friendship between Callum, Aaron and Tamara; it's so wholesome! I love them so much!!
I'm still not over the plot-twist at the end, that was the main thing that I remembered from the first time that I read this book. It's definitely one of the best plot twists that I've ever encountered, it's so shocking! Props to Holly Black and Cassie Clare for coming up with it, cause it just creates such interesting conflicts and poses such thought provoking questions, like what truly makes someone evil and nature vs nurture.
I'm super excited to see where this series goes in the rest of the books!!

This book was great. When I decided to buy it I wasn't really sure that I would love it, despite che fact that Holly Black is one of my favorite authors ever. I was expecting a very Harry Potter- similar book, but this is much more. The idea, the writing style, the way the Magisterium is described,everything is simply amazing and really enjoyable. It took me half a day to finish it and I can't wait to pick up the second volume!

This is a very good book. You get introduced to a lot but it is set up where it doesn't seem like a lot of information. There is also a very interesting plot twist at the end.
I honestly didn't think I was going to be into this book at all and it surprised me. I absolutely loved the story and I am going to start the second book right away.

I have been waiting to read this book for a few months and it amazed me. I absolutely love both of these authors and their collaboration was absolutely perfect. The characters were flawless and well developed and the plot was so intriguing. I cannot wait to go on the series because the ending and the twists in this book made me want to get the next one as quickly as possible. This was so unique and I am just so happy that I finally read it!
