I've been hoping we'd get Leif's HEA since he was first introduced, and boy was it worth the long wait. Loved how neither of them shied away from each other and realized they were stronger as a unit rather than apart

We met Leif as a scared ten year old boy now he is a grown man continuing the family business as a gifted tattoo artist. When he sees the girl he once loved and lost moving in next door to his cousin his life is knocked for a loop.
This is an amazing tale of second chances and love done as only author Carrie Ann Ryan can do. Leif has always been a sweet soul and I was thrilled to meet him again as an adult. I look forward to Nick and Lake next.

Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden did an incredible job bringing Carrie Ann Ryan’s heartfelt second chance romance to life. Leif and Brooke’s journey comes with its share of complications, but anything worth having is worth fighting for. I’m a huge fan of the Montgomery family and I’m excited to see how it plays out for the next generation.

This is an absolutely brilliant start to the new Montgomery series.
Leif is shocked to see who has moved in next door to his cousin Lake but tgat won't keep him away.
Brooke has moved back to Colorado for a new job with her 5 year old son Luke. When a face from her past shows up she can't believe it. Leif and Brooke met in Paris years ago but a miscommunication meant that they missed out on seeing each other again.
The chemistry is still there between them and they are brilliant together but when Leif's past comes back into his life can he keep everyone safe.
So much drama with plenty of emotion and a bit of suspense but also so much love and a big family that love big.
A must read. I can't wait for the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

What a wonderful return to the Montgomery's, NextGen Style!

Austin's (& Sierra's son) Lief gets his HEA with the one that got away (maybe): Brooke. Nice level of angst - certainly not too much but you've gotta have come "conflict" to the story. Great to see Lief and Brooke come together and Luke is a hoot!

Loved seeing how Brooke knew the Montgomery's without even know it. Taboo, Sierra's shope, the bookstore, etc. It was great to "see" Austin, Sierra and Maya.

This is a great place to jump into the Montgomery Ink World with an amazing backlist to work through as we await Nick & Lake's book (it can't come too soon but there's always a Carrie Ann Ryan book coming out, so the wait isn't too difficult).

Props to the author for writing characters that talk through their big issue like adults!
I was expecting more spice but overall I enjoyed this one.

When Brooke moved to Colorado, it was only a matter of time before she ran into a Montgomery. Finding out her neighbor was Lake was amazing. I could already see the friendship building from their first interaction. Then when she meets Lake’s cousin…it was a blast from the past.

Leif stood there staring at Brooke, the girl from Paris, the one who broke his heart. As thoughts run through his mind- he just needs to know why. They needed time apart and now that they are both in Colorado, they have their second chance. Will they survive his past and her current struggles? Read to find out

I want to start off by saying that I had not read any of the Montgomery Ink series before reading this book. I was able to follow along pretty easily and didn’t feel like I had to read the previous series, more that I just wanted to. This next generation starts off with Leif and Brooke’s second chance at love. I do wish we had seen more from their first time together in Paris instead of just the summary of what happened.

Leif and Brooke are back in each other’s orbits after quite a few years. They have both changed but some things stay the same and their connection and passion for each other is just the same as it was back then. Brooke is now a single mom and I loved how Leif easily accepted her son into his life and loved him too. There were lots of swoony moments and a lot of steam. There is a very strong family bond that is felt throughout the book and I really love a good family dynamic. Leif’s family has not always been this perfect happy family and of course that comes back causes some conflict. It was nice to have the major conflict of a story be from an outside source that a couple works through together. I will definitely keep reading about this family!
