I truly don't enjoy how both the show and the book gloss over how fucked up what Daphne did was. and then to have Simon say 'maybe i goaded her on/encouraged her' when he was assaulted???

All I have to say is that I am actually so glad I watched this first because I got to picture Simon as Regé-Jean Page

I decided to read this after getting hooked on the Netflix series. The book definitely held up to the intrigue of the show and was highly entertaining. I loved reading it and also learning more about my favorite characters as well as where they ended up in the epilogues (I read both the first and second epilogues that luckily were included in my library find of this novel. Thanks public library yet again! ❤️). It answered my questions I had following the series and gave me a sneak preview into where other stories within the series lead. All in all a great first read of Julia Quinn and I am looking forward to the rest of the Bridgerton series
