I listened to this audio book. This was the first time I thought reading the book would have been more enjoyable than listening. It was hard to keep the characters straight. This is not my cup of tea. The author/narrator breaks the fourth wall throughout and that’s not my thing. I am waiting for the first book from him from the library but I might turn it down. Too confusing and the ending was ridiculous.

It’s one of those books that will make you wish you were paying closer attention in the beginning. Breaking the 4th wall and speaking directly to the reader was a fun diversionary tactic and added a unique voice to the character

“Sometimes a second go at things is exactly what you need”

Solid 4 out of 5. Many things that I enjoyed in the first book were also in the sequel (yay reliable narrator!). I loved reading more Ern!
