A mostly charming, sentimental read. I particularly enjoyed Sunshine, a character with Downs Syndrome. It is about lost love, enduring love, unrequited love, and healing love. While the story as narrated has a sadness throughout it, when it ends I realized it wasn't sad at all.

Taken me ages due to 'life' getting in the way. In the end I started it again last weekend & have just finished it. A really special little book. Charming story & exquisitely written.
I’ve heard great things about this book, but in the end it didn’t click for me. I did like the fantasy/magical realism elements, and I became invested in Eunice’s story more so than Laura’s. I couldn’t connect with Laura or with the characters on her side. I did like how everyone in each storyline ended up having some kind of connection at the end though. The short stories for me really didn’t work with the atmosphere of the main story, especially when they kept getting darker. I ended up skipping them on my audiobook. Overall, an ok read but not one I’ll revisit.

Love the idea of the lost things. Would love to see a real website of this idea. The two storylines just didn’t gel that well,not did the supernatural angle which detracts from what potentially could be really interesting plots and characters. I would love to know more about Sunshine and Freddy.
