Absolutely loved the story of Astrid Parker, surprisingly. After reading Delilah Green Doesn't Care I was not a huge fan of Astrid. But this story definitely opened my up to see a whole new side of her and I was pleasantly surprised. I also loved Jordan!

Ashley's writing is incredible and she mixes just enough spice with a great story line. I cannot wait to receive my new copy of Iris Parker Doesn't Date. I think the character development of Iris has been one of my favorites and I look forward to reading much more about her!

A 4.5! I enjoyed this one more than Delilah Green, actually, maybe because Astrid's character journey isn't "I actually do care about things and I'm allowed to care" but rather "I do care, caringly, a LOT, but what I'm allowed to care about has been really restricted by my mother." So as someone who cares, caringly, all the time, it was just easier to get into Astrid's POV than it was Delilah's. But it's a fun series, and the tension between the two leads was very steamy!

I do wish there had been, I dunno, more of a conversation about Jordan's butch-ness? Like, she's butch but it's giving soft butch, and I feel like it would've been even more compelling of a story if Jordan and Astrid had been experiencing really different genders and able to talk about that. It seems that by the end Astrid was even dressing and holding herself differently (as often happens when someone comes out, especially later in life!) so Jordan like, Having Perspective On Presentation And Queerness would've been really cool to see.

Over all, though, another solid Bright Falls read -- Ashley Herring Blake is GREAT at writing wlw romances.
