****I was granted a copy of Judgment Road by Christine Feehan from Berkley Publishing Group through NetGalley for an honest review.****

The great Christine Feehan has done it once more by writing an amazingly hot book. I've been on the hunt lately for a great, hot MC romance novel that wasn't filled with cheating. When I received this book I already knew I would love it.

The characters in Judgment Road are well-written and fleshed out. They are not some two-dimensional characters you will soon forget as you move on to your next book. Reaper definitely is not your run of the mill tortured alpha that seems to have been regurgitated in most erotic romances in recent years... No Reaper will steal your heart and make you feel everything.

Now I will state that this book is not for the faint of heart or someone who is easily triggered. It has a lot of dark elements that the MC has to deal with and they are not light topics in the least. If this is something that will bother you or cause you to be uncomfortable I would suggest not picking up this particular book. This was definitely a change for me as this was a road that Feehan's work has not exactly gone down before.

All in all, if you want a sexy, gritty, powerful romance to read I highly suggest you pick up a copy of Judgment Road.

3.5 Stars. I have to say, I was hesitant coming into this series, but MAN I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT!!

Feehan does a great job of taking these tortured members of a motorcycle club, and making them human, and that they have a found family. There are extensive triggers in this one, so here we go!
Sexual assault, rape, grooming, torture, child predators, child molestation, and you get the idea here.

This is the first in the Torpedo Ink series, a spin-off from the now ended Drake Sisters/Sea Haven series. Overall, it’s a very good motorcycle club romance/ romantic thriller-type novel and is a good foray by CD into this genre.
One thing that I didn’t enjoy was the number of “sexy time” scenes. I’m not prudish when it comes to love scenes in novels but I do find that when there are several, it often begins to feel like filler on the author’s part. In fairness, sexual dysfunction and sex-related PTSD are major themes in this novel so the sex scenes do have somewhat of a role in the novel, but even then, the frequency after a while, began to feel a little lazy and like the author was rushing through the story and using a sexual device to burn pages (no pun intended).
Another thing I didn’t like was the lack of focus that Anya’s childhood trauma received. Admittedly, Reaper suffered a lot worse as a child, but Anya’s childhood and the things she’s overcome deserve more of an acknowledgement and her own “damage” deserves to be treated.
Overall, this was a good novel and I care enough about the characters to want to read more in the series.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!! Fantastic story, brilliant characters & great romance with hot’n’steamy sexy times, what more can one want from a romance book - NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! Such an intriguing back story can’t wait to read the next installment because I want more from this world. I am already invested in all the characters. And look forward to reading each of their stories. Get me a helmet I’m ready to ride!

Ugh Reaper! So tortured, just my kind of guy. I love how Anya loves him, this story was hard to get through because I'm such an empath. Great series!

At first, I thought this was going to be a knock-off and I don't know why because this author does an awesome job creating worlds and stories. However, the biker thing has been done and then been done again, so I was at a total loss for what I was about to read. When I first started reading I ate it up and the characters just became life to me - I fell in love with Reaper and his group of mismatched misfits, but then Anya stepped into his world and I didn't know what to think. She had never had that kind of family, love, and devotion. What develops is one of the best storylines this year. I didn't want it to end and I came to love all the characters. It's full of angst (which I normally hate) full of violence (which I usually abhor, it has some things in it that had me questioning why I was reading it again, but it also had some stellar writing which made it worth it. Another Christine Feehan book that was a five star read.

This was a dark read from Christine Feehan, but still a good one. A trigger warning for everyone there are mentions of rape and torture.
