4.5 stars!!!!

description

This was such a sweet and cute story that put me in the Christmas spirit. It was a VERY quick read so there isn't too much to say about it. The heroine whose name happened to be Christmas, was as cute as a button! The hero was adorable in a non-creepy sort of stalkerish way. ;)

I can't wait for Alexa Riley's next one!!!

Christmas and St.Nick. Such and adorably cute story I could barely stand it. Christmas is aptly named and adorable to boot while Nicholas is her perfect counterpart. Another instalove story that is more sweet than savage by Alexa Riley. This story was just cute enough to be highly enjoyable while still bringing the heat. Since it's a really short story I don't wanna give away even a little bit of it. But I'll say this if you love sweet sexy short reads and you have a love for Christmas this is definitely for you. It was damn near perfect. 4 Stars.

Wasn't what I was expecting

Okay...okay. I had hide hopes for this. It seems like these two authors might not be for me. I only liked one book of theirs and I thought I would enjoy their other works. I guess not.

This started off good, I liked Christmas, but then we got to Nicholas's POV and it threw me off. Like, I understand the whole heir thing would most likely happen in the real world. But I hope the two people would know each other somewhat.

I know this is fiction, but sometimes it's hard to not think this isn't realistic. Trust me, I can get over a lot things, but a woman staying the night over someone she doesn't know house, irks my soul to no end.

I love Christmas as a character, but I could careless about Nicolas. He had some good moments, but still a no for me.

This was a 2 for the price of 1 purchase, but sadly neither book was worth the money I spent on it!

Both Stealing Christmas and Snow and Mistletoe featured a BBW heroine, but there was no romance! They meet their heroes, fall into bed nearly instantly, then declare that they love their heroes and vice versa! Save for the plot devices and settings used in each story, they could have been the same book!

It's saving grace was that each story had engaging writing and were very short and quick reads. Sadly, though, I really can't say much more than that about them, and I really wouldn't recommend them to others looking for BBW romances.

Christmas Winter has a heart of gold, she lives for the holiday season but that can't stop the loneliness she feels with having no one to share it with. Working as an elf during the holiday season fills in some of the silence though. Little does she know that she has caught the eye of recluse Nicholas Light. Nicholas thought he would have to marry just to produce an heir, he had hoped he wouldn't have to marry just as a formality but seeing Chritmas he realizes he has a chance at love.

This was an fun filled holiday read. I wish it had been a bit longer but overall you got a full story. Liked that it had a bit of a Cinderella feel for it.

I lowered my rating from four to three stars because I finished it at 3 am last night and since then I could think about it. And it was weird on so many levels. It contained [book:Snow and Mistletoe|28175159] as well, so I will review that one here too.

I should start off by stating that both books were about the exact same thing and when I read the synopsis and an extract from [book:Everything for Her|31424202] I realised that it is also about the exact same thing. Different places and names, same story. It seems to me that the author came up with an idea once and she reproduces that with different character names. Speaking of which, when she runs out of ideas for names, she uses one from a previous novel. Also, who names a character Christmas Winter? I mean I know it's for the holidays and should be festive and all that, but still...

The story for both:
You've got a rich man who isolated himself completely and an innocent girl whom he is obsessed with. So he stalks her.

Stealing Christmas:
I found it really weird and unrealistic, but still kinda cute. Though, there were moments where I was just like: "No! No! That's not how you should react in that case! WTF are you doing??..." Obviously, I know it's a Christmas fiction but it could still be more realistic, at least for my taste. The author wrote down her instalove Christmas fantasy and there's nothing wrong with that, in fact it can make you feel festive. But once. And I'd like to stress that. Once is enough. You don't have to write down the same story two or three, or God knows how many times, because when people realise you've only written one book with many different covers, they will get enough and will probably not read more of your books. At least I wouldn't..

Snow and Mistletoe
This is as I've mentioned a few times already, the same as Stealing Christmas. Although, this was a total fiction as well, I, for some reason found it a tad bit more realistic, therefore more enjoyable too. A tad bit. Because the elements I did not like in the previous one obviously reappeared in this one. In my opinion, the female characters are too innocent and weak and too willing to do anything. Also, I found this one warmer. I would love a wooden cottage next to a forest one day and spend Christmas there while it's snowing outside. It's a dream of mine and it probably will remain a dream. Nevertheless, I liked this one more. It was a tad more realistic and more fuzzy, if you know what I mean.

I'm definitely not planning to pick up another one of her novels, because from what I've seen it's all the same, but I can recommend this as a light Christmas read when you don't feel like reading something you need to concentrate on in order to understand. It's very light, very easy to pick up and very easy to put down. It won't change your life but it may put you into that Christmas spirit.
