I can't help being drawn to the qualities of her characters: Emma determination to try, try, try beyond all real hope, and Julian's fierce determination to reflect the different versions of himself his brothers and sisters need him to be - the father, the protecter, the perfect person he is not - despite the internal conflict he weathers alone.

2022: High stakes and an incredibly compelling cast of characters. Easily the best book that Cassandra Clare has written. (Believe me, I've read a LOT of them!)

Me dijeron que podía leerlo sin saber nada de la saga y sus entregas anteriores. MENTIRA.
El libro pudo haber funcionado como un spin-off y así entrar de diferentes formas en este universo de Clare, pero la realidad es que muchas subtramas requieren que hayas tenido cierta base y conocimiento previo.
Aplaudo mucho la profundidad con la que están escritos algunos personajes ya que Cassandra les da mucha personalidad y cierta madurez (véase a Julian y su necesidad de fungir como padre para sus hermanos).
Tambié admiro la habilidad de la autora para desarrollar una historia dentro de su mundo usando un poema trágico.
Fuera de eso, la historia está sencillita y puede perderse un poco en algunos amoríos no muy trascendentes.
