The Sweetest

D.Rose, you never cease to amaze me. This love story was so beautiful. I’m still at a loss of words because I was so excited to read this before it came out and now I’m sad I’ve finished it within 24 hours. It was so pure and honest. I can’t wait for the paperback version to come out so I can buy it. 🌹

Because of love

This book was everything and I love me some Mecca. Nina did work my nerve but I'm glad she gotten it together. I thought the ending was perfect. D. Rose did not disappointed at all.

I knew I'd love this based on the prequel and I was right. So far I've had amazing luck with D. Rose books and this is one of her best (if not the best, but I'm biased).

Mecca and Nina continue their relationship journey, and it's not all smooth sailing. Mecca is becoming more famous which means more nights out and more groupies. Nina on the other hand, is studying hard in med school, and she has to learn to deal with Mecca's fame before it drives them apart.

This book was so realistic, Nina and Mecca felt like a real life couple with real problems. Normally I don't like third act breakups though, but here I think it fit with the story. Butistilldontlikeit. But it fit.

They're the cutest when they're together, I honestly live for them and I can't wait to see more of them in other books in this series.

P. S. I always want to mention this whenever I get to reviewing one of this author's books, but I forget and remember later. SO, all of D. Rose's books have a playlist at the start. I love books with playlists. And if you do too, read books by D. Rose!!!!

I throughly enjoyed this read!! Mecca is a complete BAE! I loved so much about him as a whole. I almost through Nina off a roof because she worked my nerves but when she finally got it together, I rooted hard for them! I can't wait to get to the next book in the series!

Great story

I loved this story. Even though Nina’s spoiled behind was working my nerves. No matter how Mecca tried to show Nina his love was true she kept putting up roadblocks. I’m glad Mecca got his HEA, even if it was with bratty Nina.

Love isn't always enough. You need trust, understanding, and most importantly, communication. And not just the kind of communication where people talk, and no one is listening. You need to hear what the other person is saying and understand why whatever it is they're saying is important to them, and then respond or act accordingly. Also, both sides need to be willing to make a few compromises for each other. It can't always be about you, your interests only, or even what your family wants. When you find someone who not only tells you they love you, but shows it in so many ways, don't take that lightly. After all, love is an action word. This story really brought that to light.

I have to admit that Nina had me reading this story with my darn heart in my throat!

All the feels!

This book took me through every emotion! I was happy, mad, sad, frustrated, sometimes livid but eventually hopeful. Mecca and Nina are my favorite couple by D. Rose. I love their pairing because despite their diverse backgrounds, they are very much alike. They love hard and desire to be loved unconditionally.

I also realized that thirsty is not exclusive to women. Shannon was just as dehydrated as Dajah. The lack of respect folks have for committed relationships baffles me because they expect others to respect their’s when they have one, not realizing karma is real.

I would love to have a spin-off for Sel and Malik. There is definitely juicy story there with those two. I also would love to see where Puma and Jon’s love lives go.
