This dragged in the middle but I enjoyed the snowboarding and athletes part. I liked this but will probably never think of it again and considered not finishing it. I’ve loved other works of this author so maybe it just wasn’t what I felt like

Perfect finish to a perfect series. I love a story about a guy who finds 'home' when he didn't even realize he was lost. Warm, fuzzy feelings throughout.

I was so excited to get my hands on Crew’s story. I DEVOURED the first two brothers books and this one was just everything and more! I loved the history between these two, the connection and so much more. The bond over not just some chemistry but also the fact that Raven also boards like Crew. There are a lot of ups and downs within these pages. In true Perry fashion, I lived for the raw emotions and so much more that bleed onto the pages. Give this one and the other two Madigan brothers a try! SO worth it!

A LITTLE TOO WILD is a sports romance, set in a contemporary small Colorado mountain town, reuniting childhood friends and estranged family - I couldn’t put this book down.
Crew Madigan is a snowboarding sports legend and exactly the type of guy Raven Darcey doesn’t want in her life. She knew him when they were kids, and now Crew has returned to Madigan Mountain after being away over a decade and Raven is afraid she won’t be able to resist him. Crew only came home for his brother’s wedding. He is determined to not stay any longer than one night in the place that holds too many painful memories. Crew will be heading home tomorrow so if Raven gives into her attraction, what’s the harm? Unless something happens to keep him in town longer…….. and then she may be in trouble.
There’s a lot to this story besides the snowboarding drama (which I indeed found fascinating) including Crew’s struggles with his estranged family that will tug at your heartstrings and his conflicted emotions about the future of his career. Plus, Raven’s own dreams come into play and Crew’s support of her is heart melting for sure.
I have preordered the other 2 stand alones in this series (A LITTLE TOO LATE by Sarina Bowen and A LITTLE TOO CLOSE by Rebecca Yarros) because I’m dying to read more about Crew’s brothers.
Thank you Devney for introducing me to the world of professional snowboarding. What a ride!

Such a good book. I thought it ended little abruptly. Then the epilogue was good and (set five years later) finished the book off nicely.
This book is apart of a three book series but I just read this as a standalone book and it was fine.

“Yes, you’re an escape. You’re also an addiction. A refuge. An adventure. This—us—is not me escaping a reality I don’t want to face. This is me coming to you because it’s the only place I want to be.”
<><>Story Overview<><>
^^ ~Crew was 14 when his mother died and after that his dad turned into an alcoholic. His older brother Weston stuck around to help raise him. But the minute Crew graduated, they both left home and never returned.
Crew is back home for one night to attend his brothers wedding. When he sets eyes on his secret high school crush, they agree a one night stand is what they both need.
~ “What do you taste like?”
~ “Careful, Raven, I just might let you find out.”
However, when Crew’s stay turns out to be longer, it seems one night isn’t enough. Seeing as Raven never had a crush on Crew in high school, she’s a little puzzled by her new found attraction.
~ What was happening? Why was I having this physical reaction to my brother’s best friend? I hadn’t reacted like this before the ceremony. Or in high school. Why now?
The friends with benefits dynamic definitely turns into much more and the fact that Raven’s brother was Crew’s closest friend in high school adds a little complexity to their newly discovered feelings.
<><>Characters<><>
Hero: Crew Madigan; Age: 30; Occupation: professional snowboarder
* The following words/phrases were used to describe Hero: daredevil, superstar of adrenaline sports. force of nature, the face of snowboarding in America, dedicated, an Olympian, has a gold medal from X Games, competitive, puts a ton of pressure on himself, lonely
Heroine: Raven Darcy; Age: 28; Occupation: runs the ski school program at Madigan Mountain Ski Resort
* The following words/phrases were used to describe Heroine: does not have a good romantic history with athletes, loves being on the mountain and doing halfpipe, loves an adrenaline rush, afraid to fail, has lots of natural snowboarding talent, father was an athlete who was mostly absent throughout her life, tired of being left behind, at one time she had dreams of competing professionally
<><>A Few Thoughts<><>
^^ ~ technically Reed wanted Crew home to take a look at the snowboarding area that was being created. But honestly, what was Crew’s contribution? Didn’t seem like he had a hand in designing it, didn’t seem like he would be involved in running the area, so I didn’t have a clear understanding of how he would really contribute to the family business besides his famous name.
^^ ~ I liked that Raven didn’t secretly have a big crush on Crew and it was actually the other way around. She legit just saw him as her brothers friend and Crew was the one who had been crushing on her in high school.
^^ ~ I needed more of Crew and repairing his relationship with his dad. The little scene I got of them together on the ski lift was good, but I needed a lot more of the Madigan side of the family repairing their dysfunctional past.
^^ ~ the plot felt thin - it had potential with the above issue to really have some meat. Instead, it was a secret relationship, a lazy brother and Crew’s career (and a little bit of Raven’s). Not very riveting.
^^ ~ I liked that Crew supported and encouraged Raven’s dreams and didn’t feel threatened by them.
^^ ~ the epilogue…..really? She’s doing halfpipe shortly after having a baby? Crew being a dad was cute, but I didn’t buy into Raven all of a sudden hitting big success after only being coached for a few years.

LOVED. LOVED. Loved this book.
What I enjoyed:
1. Female and Male snowboarding couple.
2. The hero was so great. I loved how supportive and caring he was with the FMC, and how he worked through his issues with his dad.
3. Loved Raven. She was relatable and lovable heroine. I love that she took her shot.
4. It had a bit everything - comedy, slight suspense, steam, romance, family reconciliation.
5. The epilogue was chef’s kiss.
This has been my favorite in the series, so far. Yes, I read out of order. Don’t yell at me.
