I inhaled these three books like I was a drug addict and they were cocaine! I loved this magical world of snow and skying and helicopters and snowboarding! I loved these three men and the wonderful women who loved them, and I cheerfully hated Mark Madigan, their father, who caused them so much trauma during their teenage years.
The celebrity among the Madigan men, Crew Madigan, arrived with the intention of being there for his big brother’s wedding and head out next morning to continue on his fast track world of pro snowboarding. He kept busy in his pro career to forget about his family and his wrecked home life and he likes his fast world just fine, thank you.
But then his brothers trapped him into a sponsor photo shoot at their resort, then guilt trip him into checking out their new facilities: a half pipe and a terrain park that they’re building for the snowboarding fans, and what is best, Olympic sized, so all the pros can do their training there. There are strong hints to get Crew do his training there, but Crew is resisting and hard!
The only thing keeping him home is Raven, the girl he used to crush on in high school, his best friend River’s younger sister. And here is where it all gets interesting. River feels competitive with Crew but lacks the discipline and drive, but guess who has it and in spades?
There’s a wonderful story of love growing between Raven and Crew, jealousy from River, Reed and Weston wanting to keep their little brother home, and Mark Madigan asking for redemption from his sons. It’s a lot of action, a lot of love, and a lot of snow. This resort is magical!
I loved Raven and Crew’s shenanigans, the closeness that is developing between Crew and his brothers and the connection that he’s getting again with the resort. I get the hurt they all feel when they visit their old home and feel the absence of their mother and her art. But I also relish the love they feel for the snow and their mountain. Crew has shoulder problems and time’s ticking on his next competition. Raven needs to make a decision on her future and River needs to hold a job! This book had all the feels and it was also fun. Addictive!

Would it be too much to hope that Sarina Bowen, Rebecca Yarros, and Devney Perry come together every now and again to work on a trilogy together? When they released the Hush Note series in 2020, I thought it was a one-off. But here we are, a little over a couple of years later, and this talented trio have rejoined creative forces to bring readers a series about three brothers who begrudgingly find their way back to the place that they once considered home and find true love in the process. Book one, A Little Too Late, was penned by Sarina Bowen and is about the oldest Madigan brother, Reed; book two, A Little Too Close. was written by Rebecca Yarros and features the middle Madigan, Weston. Now, the Madigan Mountain final book, A Little Too Wild, is out in the wild (pun intended!), and Devney Perry ends with the youngest--champion pro snowboarder Crew.
I've enjoyed the heck out of the Madigan Mountain trilogy, and Devney Perry certainly closes things out with a five-starred read that's fun and romantic but also with quite a bit of angst that's made me a happy camper (ironic, I know). I loved Crew and Raven together, and I appreciated the creative touch of Crew being the one who crushed on Raven growing up while Raven was blissfully oblivious to it all. These two also had issues when it came to the men in their respective families, although in varying degrees and maybe not so much Weston. Raven and Crew had a great deal in common, especially their love of snowboarding, and the support these two offered each other off and on the snow was one of my favorite things about them. I'm going to miss the Madigans and the mountain that is their home, but it's been a thrill "seeing" this family reconcile and grow.

A Little Too Wild by Devney Perry has it all! A small town sports romance with a super hot athlete and the best friend's little sister that never gave him a second glance.
Crew Madigan is the third brother we see in the Madigan Mountain series. Crew, the youngest of the brothers is the World champion, medal winning smoking hot snowboarder that finds himself back at the last place he ever wanted to be.. Back home for his older brother's wedding.
The only good thing about being back home? The girl. Raven, the girl Crew crushed on so hard in high school, is still in town and the chemistry is off the charts!
Raven wants nothing to do with athletes. She's had her heart stomped on too many times and now she's waiting for her nerd in shining armor but what's one night with Crew Madigan? Until that one night turns into one week, maybe more?
Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin are so great! I adore them together! Jason was so fun to listen to as an Xgames boarding bro - we all love a growly Jason but this snowboarding vibe was perfect!
Vanessa always gets so raw with her narrations, you could feel the struggles Raven had with her family and personal life.
This was my very first Devney book and I will say I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed this entire series so much. Sarina, Rebecca and Devney brought this amazing story together so seamlessly - It was a fun light yet emotional listen. Thank you ladies for sharing this wonderful adventure with us!

I loved the first two books of the trilogy but found this one not quite up to par. It was on the shorter and had an abrupt ending that had me double checking my download.
I devoured this series and hope the trio writes more!

When I got the collaboration with this book I couldn't be happier, really!
If you like:
- Professional athlete.
- Best friend of his brother.
- Back home.
- Sports romance.
Raven Darcey has known him for a long long time but for things in life he left home and has returned to Madigan Mountain 12 years later for his brother's wedding.
Crew Madigan is a snowboarding prof and legend. And that makes Raven not want him in her life because she has had bad relationships with athletes of this type, and well, he is her brother's best friend. She met him when they were just kids, and now Crew has returned to home.
He has come with the intention of not spending more than a few days for his brother's wedding since this place brings back very bad memories.
Could something make Crew decide to stay longer than he has promised himself?
Like all of Devney's stories that has the touch of sensitivity. The moments where Raven's dreams are seen and how Crew supports her in everything it's amazing, or when Crew faces his painful past.
I have loved this book, Devney does not disappoint and I definitely recommend it a lot!!

I really loved this book. The descriptive way the setting is described, makes you feel like you are on Madigan Mountain with the characters. This story was great!

Crew hasn’t been back to his hometown for twelve years - for various reasons - and when he returns for his brother’s wedding, he only plans to stay for one night. And in that one night he ends up hooking up with his best friend’s sister, Raven, whom he always had a crush on.
But come the morning when he’s supposed to leave, his plans get derailed. He ends up staying a week. And then another. And finds he doesn’t want to leave at all because, although he’s missed his brothers and his hometown, he’s quickly becoming hooked on Raven Darcy.
Oh Crew. So terrified of being hurt by his memories that he almost turned his back on the best things, the best people, in his life.
And Raven had been hurt so many times by men she deemed to be just like Crew that she refused to let him in. Except he just wormed his way in there anyways. Easily too, because at the end of the day, she was already falling for him. Hard.
The two of them were so cute together with their sneaking around. I thought for sure they’d get caught sooner than they actually did. But all their sneaking also made for hooooot scenes because of all the pent up feelings and tension.
The epilogue kicked in a chapter or two before I was expecting it to, but it was actually a fairly perfect ending.

I think these books just needed to be a little longer. I wish it had a little bit more tension and compassion within the couple! But the found family was cute and this was an easy read.
