Bregman weet op eenvoudige wijze uit te leggen waarom we weer moeten gaan dromen over een nieuw luilekkerland. De plek waar we ons nu bevinden heeft namelijk heel veel weg van die plek, maar hoe mogen wij durven dromen en vechten naar een nieuwe utopie. Want deze kapitalische zooi is toch niet zo geweldig als verwacht.

Inspiring ideas presented with such good-heartedness and brilliant examples that were fascinating and shocking and led me to futher research. Written with such hope and lively storytelling and plenty of humour that made it so hard to put down.

Picked this book up on a whim, and really enjoyed it. It's helpful to be reminded of how far we've come in the last 100 years, while also exploring how we could continue to improve life for all. I hope to be around to see these ideas (which have research to support their claims!) put into practice.

'Utopia for realists' is definitely worth your time if you believe that there has always been something very wrong with the world that we live in! the two way mirror of social commentary on the absorbent problems, and the us and them divide giving the reader some real world examples and real workable solutions, in giving everyone the opportunity to be free from the shackles of the prison they made us build.

Volanie po redefinovaní moderného ľavicového zmýšlania. Potrebujeme novú utópiu - myšlienky, hoci dnes nepredstaviteľné z hľadiska realizície, no potrebné ako nový cieľ v dnešnej dobe. V dobe, kedy sme mnohé ciele z minulosti naplnili a ďalšie opustili.
Prečítate si argumenty za
-všeobecný základný príjem, aby sme odstránili chudobu
-odstránenie hraníc - najvhodnejší spôsob odstránenia chudoby vo svete
či redefinovanie práce, jej zmyslu a množstva času, ktorej jej máme venovať.
Sú to všetko myšlienky hodné verejnej debaty a určite aj vhodné vízie pre moderné lavicové strany.
