I love this series

This series is a wonderful balance of Her Royal Spyness, and the Nick and Nora series. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little bit of personality in their mystery novels.

Probably my least favourite of the series so far but I just love these characters.

I'm really over the repetitive plotline of Milo and Amory's marital strife, but the setting was charming and the mystery appealing, at least until the ridiculous conclusion.

Definitely the weakest of the series so far, but still enjoyable!

Another good effort in this series, however I didn't enjoy this as much as the first and third books (I haven't read the second yet). The plot seems to be heading in one direction only to blindside me in the last few pages with an ending that didn't sit well with me. Also I got a bit perturbed with Milo's attitude and Amory's response to it. I know theirs is an up and down, shaky relationship at times, but there was a lot of secrecy (on the part of Milo) and passive whining (on the part of Amory) that I could have done without. Overall I recommend, just not as strongly as others in series. Looking forward to backtracking to read #2!

Fun as always

This was one of the better mysteries in the series but it remains frustrating how the author doesn’t give you much to go on. I wanted more clues, more red herrings. Amory’s false “solve” at the end was frankly ridiculous, especially considering she had no real evidence. Sometimes she comes off as stupid and completely oblivious. And the relationship between Milo and Amory… it was as if the author was determined not to put them on rocky ground this time, but then it wasn’t as engaging as it could’ve been. Milo lies to Amory the whole novel but she’s determined to trust him.
