I read Ramona books as a child, now I read this to my children. Beverly Clearly has created timeless stories and characters. Even all these years later, Ramona's world is still so relatable (sorry Ramona, your author REALLY understood how children think 😉). I loved experiencing this story again with my own children and we will be reading more Ramona together!

This Ramona was the best one yet. I loved that she is now in third grade; I teach third grade at church so it was great to get into the minds of the students. Third grade is also the grade that I can remember with any clarity - it was great to see the similarities!

I read this with my 8 year old, 2nd grader tutoree and she loved it and so I enjoyed it, too. I think she relates to it -- Ramona and she are the same age, gender, in the same grade, and have similar home lives -- in a way that she can't relate to Charlotte's Web (farm life) or The Island of the Blue Dolphins despite the girl protagonists. The fact that this was published years before she was born didn't diminish it's relevance or meaning for her and even started conversations about where meat comes from, how teachers feel about their students, and even parents' financial concerns.
We're looking forward to reading more Ramona in the future.

I see why this is a must read. This story is so heart warming and Ramona is confident and honest in the best way. Oh and she's hilarious.
