I'm not familiar with the Nancy Drew stories, but picked this up for a Christmas read and enjoyed it! It's absurd, she's supposed to be on a holiday yet it's totally action packed!!
This is aimed at younger people and addresses some complex issues e.g. environment and corruption, and that's done in a mature and approachable way without talking down to younger readers, much of the reason I enjoyed it too.
Also, incedently, I was impressed by the language around wheelchair use, which was unusually normal! Well done.
