Good to know my Nancy Drew nostalgia does not branch out to the new books. If the CW has taught me anything, it’s that modern-day Nancy Drew is not for me. (But I still keep watching?? And I still finished this book.)

This was an entertaining mystery featuring not only Nancy Drew but also the Hardy Boys.
The 3 team up together to solve a mystery of sabotage at an eco tourism lodge that they are visiting for the holidays.
Early on, Nancy suffers an injury while skiing on the bunny slope but this does not deter her investigation, much to the chagrin of the saboteurs.
There are a lot of different characters, possible suspects, that Nancy, Frank, and Joe have to investigate. Some of these characters are quite colorful and I enjoyed reading how they were described.
Overall, a fun mystery and I would recommend.

The writing quality was poor - it seemed like every other sentence ended with an exclamation point or involved the second person which is a big pet peeve of mine. The sentences were also poorly constructed.

Nancy was quite the know-it-all and I didn’t like her as a character. The inclusion of the Hardy Boys didn’t really add anything to the plot. I would have preferred more Ned, Bess and George.

I don’t typically enjoy books that push an agenda. I read books as escapism and don’t enjoy it in my reading.

A more modern day Nancy Drew heads to the mountains to stay at a super new and sustainable resort. Soon though, accidents happen, leaving Nancy in a cast. Someone is out to ruin the hotel- is it the Anti-Pipeline activists, a surly kitchen staff, or something more sinister afoot? A surprise drop in by the Hardy Boys.
