I wanted to like this more, since I'm a huge fan of the TV show. It was a bit difficult to follow though and it lacked the spirit of the show. That being said, it's a very quick read and worth getting one more peek into the world of Number Six.

"http://nwhyte.livejournal.com/1275371.html[return][return]A graphic novel sequel to The Prisoner, published 20 years later. The Village has been closed for years, but a former Number Two exposes many of its secrets in a Spycatcher-like memoir. Meanwhile Alice Drake, an agent on a sailing holiday from a failing marriage, gets shipwrecked in this place with very weird architecture....[return][return]I generally liked Shattered Visage. It is very true to the original TV series visually and psychologically; the characters are beautifully drawn and entirely recognisable. I was a bit disappointed with the ending which felt both rushed and inconclusive. But basically this is a worthy addition to Prisoner canon."

Put simply, if you like the show then you'll probably like this book.

I personally don't think the show was particularly good. It's interesting, it's worth watching, it's sometimes amusing, sometimes intriguing, but ultimately I don't think it quite succeeds at whatever it is it's trying. And the comic is the same. The character of #6 comes across very well and there are some interesting ideas here, but the story is at the same time too neat and also not clear enough.

Like the show, it's not bad, it's interesting and worth reading, but ultimately I don't think it really works.
