I loved this book. it was so cute and wholesome and focused on girlhood and friendship. the romance was really cute and sweet too. this is the first book I've read in a while that I actively enjoyed reading, it was so easy to zone out and watch the movie in my head !!!!! loved it very very much

One sure sign that I loved a book is that not only am I sad when it ends, but I also miss the characters. That's how this book was for me. I was looking for one last summer read and this one was perfect!

my Free Fridays nook book from last week. Not amazing, but decent chicklit. There were a few moments that caught me by surprise and made me laugh.

Peaches was a pretty good book but it was full of cliches. It's about three girls who would never be friends in real life.. but certain situations happen and they end up bringing them together. All three girls end up working at the same peach farm for the summer, which sounds interesting because I know zero people who have worked on a farm.

Now these girls were okay characters that I either liked or didn't like. Pretty simple for pretty simple girls. Murphy thinks she is all that and a cherry on top. Apparently everyone guys wants to be with her and she's tired of them all. Sounds high unrealistic but whatever helps her sleep at night.

Then there's Leeda, who is super skinny, pretty, popular, and is basically dating the hottest guy ever: Rex. Basically everyone loves her - well, not her mom.. but who needs her love anyways? She has the people of this town falling in love with her.

Birdie, the last of the three, is the chubby one. She's also shy, awkward, and a total virgin. No sex or kisses have come her way which apparently is frowned upon. She has her insecurities about where and who she is in the beginning - like most girls. However, at the end she is no longer her chubby old self and has a boyfriend.. or a friend with benefits.. I don't really remember what he was. Just know she has kissed a boy people!

Now the girls were very cliche and annoying at times. However, I did end up enjoying the book - probably because of wine but I don't want to point fingers at this point. I probably would've liked this book more if it wasn't filled with cliche moments or people. It wasn't a terrible book but I also didn't have a favorite character either. Each girl goes through their own journey to find who they really are.. but did I like any of them after the book? Nope.

When I picked this book out, I was looking for something light, easy, and good. Something summery. Overall, I can't say I was a fan of this book. Any of the redeemable parts are blanketed in racism, fat-shaming, and misogyny. None of the characters were all too likable, and they were all a bit toxic towards each other. Birdie's biggest character arc seemed to be her losing some weight. This story didn't have much substance; neither the plot nor the characters were too enthralling.

this was a fun read for the summer, but not a super duper legendary one. i did really like the girls' friendship and wished to be in the lake swimming with them, or just to be able to walk in the peach trees! the environment descriptions did give nice imagery without being too long. also i would have had a major crush on enrico too hehe and i loved birdie!!!
one thing that i didn't like was when the author refers to the mexicans in the story sometimes in a weird way, like how leeda avoided them (such as enrico in a scene) because she couldn't stand being around people who didn't speak english (whereas he did speak it, just not perfectly...), or when the girl with enrico was refered as "une fille de type mexicain" (a girl of mexican type) idk maybe i'm overreacting but the wording of that bothers me a little bit like "type"??

Three girls who would never normally be friends, are forced to spend the summer together in a peach orchard. I enjoyed the characters and the plot.

This book is about three girls who wouldn't have normal been found around each other but are pushed together by Peaches...

This is a typical YA read. I did find it took me longer to finish this book that I would have liked. I just couldn't fall in love with the storyline or the characters.

Birdie lives on a peach farm with her two dogs and her dad. The storyline is based around trying to save the peach farm being sold off or taken away from them. However, it seemed that only Birdie was pretty much interested in putting in the hard work to do so.

Leeda and Murphy are two girls who join the peach farm for their own individual reasons and the story watches the three girls friendship blossom. I wasn't even convinced that the girls were friends with each other until the ending of the book. It just seemed a bit all over.

The storyline didn't change anything for me and I didn't particularly connect with any of the characters.

Three very different teenage girls lives intersect at a peach orchard, creating lasting friendships. An okay read.
