Tried on audio - basically a stream of consciousness narrative

Well, this book is different. I listened to the audiobook and was shocked it was only 4 disc long just over 5 hours of listening. I had to double check to make sure it was abridged.

What Offill writes could be scaped from just about all our brains. I am like Lizzy. I wanlk around thinking thoughts on top of each other and very disjointed. For this reason I found the book very charming. The humor wasn't laugh out loud stuff but more a smile to my lips.

This won't be for everyone but I suspect that many will like it.

Read this book lying in a park in the middle of a city.

I've recommended this book over and over. A quick read, but a cosy one. It's a lovely insight into a mind. The characters feel vital, even though they are a little distant.

For the whole novel we are passengers in the mind of a curious, peculiar and formidably minded woman.

I particularly loved the little snippet quotes.

I enjoyed this although it did sort of wash over me as I listened to it on audio while working. Can I remember anything that happened/was said? No lol. But I felt the writing was solid and the tone was good
