I AM EMOTIONALLY UNWELL AND DEMAND COMPENSATION.

Think you have theories? Sarah laughs in your face. Think you're feeling good about the outcome? You hear "bet" in the distance.

What I love of Sarah's style is completely developed here. The internal worlds are so beautifully painted, the external is gorgeously horrible but no less lovely, and I'm just going to be sitting in a corner for a little bit. Literally any theory I could think of went right out the window. I thought I knew where some things were going but man are the red herrings good.

If you're not a fan of the prose or overly formatted text you might not enjoy this, I know it's a pet peeve for some folks but if you can look past that please do this is just hitting it's stride and I'm so excited for what comes next.

I was fortunate enough to win an ARC on one of the authors Instagram giveaways, and I am not lying when I say I DEVOURED this book in less that 24 hours, and am still a little shell shocked and unsure of how exactly to put into writing everything this work of art has made me feel.

This book is heartbreak and pain, trauma and fallout, and all the ugly faces that rear their heads when someone has fallen into the deepest darkest parts of themselves. But it's also healing and picking up the pieces as best as you can, and finding that strength, acceptance and even a little bit of humour in the moments that you feel the most lost. The depth and complexities of the MC's are so fleshed out in this book, I don't even know how else to describe it apart from its everything I was hoping for in #3 and more. This was one of my most anticipated book for 2023 and I can 1000% say that my heart is already in a vice knowing that I have to wait to read the rest of the story, but I know the wait will be SO worth it.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This author has joined my 'see her name and buy it' list - I can't recommend these books enough.

Well, that was a very exhausting book. So emotional - I went from frustrated, to crying, to fearful within pages of each other. I get Orlaith bothers some people but she seems so real to me - acting the way so many people do when exposed to trauma. She doesn’t see herself as worth anything. It doesn’t mean her choices don’t drive me crazy sometimes but they do seem real. I am happy to share that the book ended well for me. Some answers to questions but MANY more have now been posed. My question? When is the next book coming out?????

A fantastic continuation of Orlaith's story.

The consequences of her actions in 'To Snap a Silver Stem' come to bite her with a vengeance, and she learns some very difficult lessons

The world is fleshed out beautifully as Orlaith learns more about life outside her tower

So many questions are answered, and so many more pop up in their place, and it's absolutely wonderful.

I can't wait to read what happens in the next book.

Kaum hat man mal ein paar Antworten bekommen, sind dafür 10 neue Fragen da. Aber es macht schon irgendwie süchtig

Five stunning stars for a stunning series ⭐️!

I’ve never begged. Not once. But I’ll stay on my knees until I feel that flame sputter out.
Then…
I’ll rip the world to shreds.

Once again, Sarah A. Parker rendered me speechless with her beautifully devastating story.

To Flame A Wildflower is a release I've been waiting for with bated breath after I was left hanging on the excruciating cliffhanger of the second book.

I continue to be in awe of Parker's craft and how she intricately carved Orlaith's journey from the beginning to where she is now. This book continues to prove what a brilliant storyteller Parker is.

This woman is ruthless. She won't hesitate to leave readers devastated and tear off the veil that the readers and Orlaith were encompassed in to reveal how dark and merciless Orlaith's world is.

A few mysteries and questions are revealed and the theorists are certainly going to have the time of their lives dissecting the new reveals and the mysteries that are yet to be unfolded. Some of it may come as a shock so brace yourselves.

Orlaith had my heart from book 1, but as her journey descends into a darker path I couldn't help but let my tears flow for her. Orlaith became an open wound for all to see and infest with their diseased intentions and schemes. The rawness of her grief and trauma gripped my heart with phantom hands that kept digging it's claws deeper and deeper. Orlaith bled, but so did I as a reader.

And I will brush over this quickly because this is an experience I want readers to have with no expectations, but you will be proud of Orlaith's growth. There is no question or doubt that she is one of my favorite characters of all time and she continues to rise up on the list.

I always applaud Parker for ensuring that her characters are nuanced with their own set of flaws. No character is wholly good and no character is wholly bad. Well... in some cases some are utterly rotten and this book does not shy away from the depravity some characters would gladly descend into.

I would say this book had a faster pacing than Stem and I was kept on edge while my nerves were being grated throughout the majority of this book. I'm surprised I did not pass out by holding in my breath.

I will keep raving about this series because this to me is one of the perfect examples of a dark fantasy romance?

Nuanced morally questionable characters? You got it!

A complex story with an intriguing lore? Yep

Exquisite world-building? one of the best to me

Plot twists? be prepared

Action sequences and tension-filled scenes? Oh yes

Angst? Oh be prepared for so much

Passionate and sensual romantic scenes? Mhmmm
adventurous dark mysterious tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

6 stars. Absolutely devastating. I need book 4!!!!!!

It was the best so far in the installment and my favorite one. Is is the best series for me? No, but maybe dark fantasy just isn't my go-to genre. Orlaigh was also better but still I wished her growth and evolution was faster. All in all, I will read the next book happily and I want to know how it all wraps up, since the story itself is gripping.
