This series just hides so much. Mysteries revealed and more questions than answers. Yet I've enjoyed every second of it.
HOLY…!!! When is the next book coming out!? This was amazing! I have so many theories… and questions and ideas … Highly recommend this series it is so interesting and beautifully written!
4.25. I think I’m reading this series at the right time in my life. It is slow, could argue to long and there something in the writing. However, I love it. It’s because of Orliath. My favourite type of female character in fantasy are strong women that struggle with their mental which impact their decision. Leading to bad decisions making and terrible communication which can be frustrating as a reader. But seeing the turmoil that runs through her brain impacts me greatly.
Of course there is Rhordyn. Due to the ending of the last book, he wasn’t as present in this book. ( I did read head to see how long I would have to wait for them to reunite). When he return it was warm welcome from me. Though I wouldn’t say their connection is the talk of century but couldn’t picture them with anyone else. I’m so excited for the next book.
The side character apart from Cameron didn’t feel very important in this book.

The further I go in this series, the less I understand.
I feel like we’re not given much, just a bunch of information here and there, and as good as the series is, it gets harder to concentrate and read the books.
The writing is good, although there are so many descriptions that I sometimes did a quick read of some paragraphs.
Don’t get me wrong, the story is really good, the characters are complex and well-written, the overall idea is brilliant and the world-building incredible.
Maybe I wasn’t in the right mood to fully enjoy it, but I got a bit bored during this third book. Maybe it’s because I read the 3 books one after the other and I just overdosed on the whole thing.
I got a little tired of Orlaith too, but I wouldn’t put it past the fact that I very often get bored with FMC when they keep complaining (very rightly so sometimes, their lives are pretty shitty honestly).
I loved the Rhordyn we discovered in this book, vulnerable but so strong, tender yet powerful. I want to learn more about him, and I absolutely need to see what happens to Baze and Zade, my loves.
I’m glad I get a pause before book 4, I’ll have time to sit on those books and just think all this through, before diving back into this world.

This just may be the first book I’ve ever wanted to rate higher than 5 ⭐️ . It was utter perfection. So many questions were answered in this book! I also loved Orlaith’s self reflection and personal growth. Shes starting to heal from her trauma and let go of some of that self hatred (such a relief!). Thankfully, though, her feistiness and determination are only getting stronger. Sarah continues to wow me with her imagery, world building, and character depth. This was truly a life changing read and certainly in running for my book of the year.

Hallelujah, this series finally took a good turn XD
I liked book 3 the best of all of the books so far! It's still a bit dark, but had no glaring issues for me like books 1 and 2 did. I'm so glad at the way this story is shaping up. Book 2 was ROUGH but this one is way better. I'm excited to keep reading.
