When I first read (some) of this series it was because I thought the art style was pretty, and the fact that there was a demon butler. Both of those are still true now that I've reread the first volume. The characters are interesting, but I know the dynamics get kind of weird further on.

This was strange and not in a good way. None of the characters are likable and the story was shallow and unoriginal. It kept trying to be funny and it just wasn't. I'm also disturbed by the implications of a romantic relationship between an ancient demon and a 12 yo boy. Fans say this gets so much better a few books from now, but I think I'll pass.

I want to try the foods in this manga. I like how there's something similar to a glossary at the end.

6.5.24 update: Still want to try the foods. Is there a cook book for this manga? I have to know. I have watched book of circus now, so i am seeing some of the things that tie to that.

I’m a little confused and need more information to get a good grasp of this series. I wish there was more of a hook for the first book, but I’m going to keep with it because I’ve heard good things.
