Read this book while on Wattpad. I remember it being one of my all-time favourite Wattpad book but honestly do not remember a single thing about this book.

Definitely the best book I've ever read on wattpad! I was updating the app probably several times a day to see when the next chapter would come - so I could Rees it right away!!

Found on Wattpad.

The story begins with April Hale being the social inept nerd at her school. She only has two friends, who she isn't really even that close to. And her twin brother is the complete opposite of her. He's the popular jock guy at school. Things change for April when the bad boy who lives next door gets kicked out of his house, and she lets him stay in her room. These two actually start to form a friendship, and develop feelings for her. But April has a condition that makes it very hard for her to understand the social norms, and people's feelings. You add this and the bad boy who is having family problems into the mix and you have a whole lot of drama.

This story was something I found on wattpad. It wasn't at all like I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be your typical "nerd falls for bad boy" type of thing. But I was very wrong. It is the nerd falling for the bad boy, but April isn't just a nerd. She as a form of autism that makes it hard for her to communicate with people, and understand their feelings. And the bad boy next door to her slowly starts to fall for her. Now I have to say there are only two things I didn't like about this story. One of them is towards the end I sort of felt like Ryder was giving up on April in a way. It was kind of frustrating. And then to see April try so hard to be the person he needs was beautiful. And I really wish we had gotten more out of the epilogue.. Like maybe what happens to them a few years later.

Anyways, the other thing I didn't like was the story needed to be edited. Now I normally can deal with this type of thing by just fixing it in my head and moving on quickly. But in this one I had to read several sentences over and over to understand what was going on. Other than that this book was very well written, with a very unique plot line.

I love the way Cathy made April she is such an amazing person the way she always tells the truth and it's not your typical cliché story she is just so unpredictable. Ryder may be a sad and angry guy but his love for April is beautiful and the story is so funny. Cathy you're a great writer.

I really adored this book when I read it on Wattpad.

A cutesy YA romance with some nice humour.

April Hale has Asperger's and it was awesome to see a main character like that. Her neighbor Ryder comes from a verbally abusive household and April's family gets to hear them scream at each other every morning. Then one night Ryder's dad kicks him out of the house so he climbs into her bedroom window and she lets him stay. Their relationship moves super slow. April has difficulty speaking with people she doesn't know and doesn't like to be touched. I like how accurate it was.
However a lot of times Ryder gets mad at her and is an ass and then she is apologizing for things that aren't her fault. It's manipulative. She tries to change herself for him and I'm not a fan.
I feel like a story where a high school guy has a romantic relationship with a grown woman is just as disturbing and perverted as it would be with a girl and a grown man.
Aside from that the story needs a good editor who speaks English as a first language.

The Quirky Tale of April Hale consists of two books. In the first book it's revealed that April has Aspergers, a type of autism.

I really loved this book because it's so real and I love how developed the characters are. In the second book, however, I didn't enjoy everything. A lot of things were vague and a few issues were unresolved.

4.0 for the first book
3.5 for the second book
