it’s a difficult book to read for sure. de Beauvoir puts all the insecurities forward, naked, and unadorned. what a set of tragic stories. i felt destroyed reading the last story.

it took me a long time to get through for some reason but i really enjoyed it. her writing style is very unique which i loved. definitely made me reflect/have a crisis about getting older
