This was sloppily written and rushed, no development and I did not care for the characters. There was no real plot and the backstories needed explored more. Things became way too repetitive, zero relationship development or chemistry. Horrible.

Caleb is so amazing

Loved everything about this. The sample drew me in, and I didn’t hesitate to get it.

Caleb is just absolutely amazing. So full of life and acceptance. I loved how he just rolled with everything. And how open he was with what he wanted. It’s rare that I love a character right from the start, and I did with him.

I wanted to wrap Whit up and let him know everything was going to be okay. Watching his layers get peeled back by Caleb was both beautiful and heartbreaking.

I adored Caleb’s family and friends. Mal was amazing from the beginning, and another character I immediately took to. Sem and Luke were awesome weirdo’s that brightened up every scene they were in. I’m so excited to read Sem’s story next.

There was laughter, spice, heartbreak, sadness, and beautiful love. I could not put this down. Cora Rose has a new fan.

Whit and Caleb are college roommates who are polar opposites of each other, yet somehow become drawn to one another. Caleb is outgoing, caring, and straight. Whit is grumpy, cold to everyone and gay.

I absolutely loved how shameless Caleb was in his possessiveness and demanding of Whit's time, attention, and CUDDLES. The cuddle scenes were absolutely amazing and I loved them so much. I really enjoyed how Caleb never hesitated to show Whit affection and love, even out in public, where Whit was shying away.

We see Whit go from cold and uncaring to slowly opening up to Caleb and slowly showing pieces of himself. How he does from hiding himself and affection to slowly craving it. The hospital scenes and how much he just needed to see Caleb and touch him, making sure he was real. UGH. I loved how Whit slightly forces himself into places with Caleb, the bar and sabotages a date, or when Caleb needs time to think, and he takes him to watch the stars in a yurt. Possessive much?!

It's so heartwarming and the romance was amazing. I really enjoyed the banter, their possessive need to be around each other, and the entire dynamic. I truly enjoyed Caleb's family and how they accepted their relationship and Whit wholeheartedly. Found Family is one of my favorite tropes and I absolutely loved how well done it was.

Also. Ahem. The sex scenes. Holy. Shit. Whew! These two got hella spicy suuuuper fast. I was absolutely loving how it started off as strictly transactional with Caleb whining for attention to Whit slowly craving everything with him. It was just. Ugh. Chefs kiss.

Whit's backstory is absolutely tragic and should be read with caution. If you have trigger warnings related to self-harm, parental abuse (physical and emotional) starvation, and/or suicidal thoughts, please skip this book. Your mental health matters!

I absolutely loved this book! I hated that it was over. I finished it in one day. It made me laugh out loud and cry, and it was wonderful! I can't wait to read everything Ms. Rose writes!
